So I started my juice fast today. Ideally, it will last 30 days...realistically, it will last about 7 but we'll see I suppose.
To some people it seems drastic and dangerous, but there's actually a lot of literature discussing the holistic long term benefits of the once yearly 30 day juice detox or the tri-monthly 3 day detox...Obviously anything can be dangerous if done incorrectly, a fast/detox is no different...but if done correctly, it could be life changing.
Honestly, i'm only doing it to prove I can. There's nothing harder (imo) than not stuffing my face with solid food...
Anywho... first drink:
APPLE CUCUMBER JUICE
Very good for liver, blood metabolizing, and kidneys.
1 Large cucumber
1 Apple
2 Tablespoons loosely chopped parsley
It's a good mix...i'll probably drink this one often, very refreshing, although i'll probably swap the parsley with fresh ginger root...
