"I Wanna Be A Billionaire So Freaking Bad"...

with 0 comments

So today I had a long, extremely entertaining conversation with a friend of mine that somehow segwayed into planning out our lives if we were to win the lottery. We were discussing Oprah's networth (2.5-3 billion dollars) and contemplating what that actually means. What would it be like to truly be able to buy nearly anything in the world and not even blink? It would be surreal. I mean, you can sort of picture the life of a small millionaire, but billionaire...that's insane.

Now, i'm sure a lot of people think about this sort of thing for fun all the time, and if you ask the question, "what would you do if you won the lottery" at a pageant, the typical answer would be, "donate to charities, start a non-profit organization, buy my parents a house, do volunteer work" ect ect... But those are the 'moral' answers that we are all almost preconditioned to say...what about the real stuff? The stuff many of us would actually love to do if we inherited enough money to live 3 material filled lives?

We decided, if one of us were to win hundreds of millions of dollars in the lottery, we would:

  • Quit our jobs and relocate to some large flat in a fun city, like LA
So, if I were to win, I would call my friend and say "you're done working. You're moving to the city to live with me".
  • Do something exciting and entertaining every day/week:
  1. Hire a Hollywood make-up artist to disguise us as elderly people and then walk around. Acting old and then hitting up a bar or club and throwing back shots, or playing soccer on the beach.
  2. Head to an airport and grab tickets for the first plane out, no matter where it is.
  3. Take a private jet to Japan on a whim, simply for some fresh sushi.
  4. I would write/produce/direct/cast an indie biopic about my life (which I will go into more detail about in a moment).
  5. Party like real VIPs
  6. Travel the world over numerous times.
