Steadman - "No Big Deal"
Heard this on Charmed about 6 years ago and grabbed everything I could find by them. Tonight I was going through my old mp3's and it definitely made me miss this caliber of alt rock... There are for sure still some great alternative bands around (Silversun Pickups for instance), but they aren't as prominent anymore... You definitely have to dig around for them. I mentioned somewhere that I'm waiting for the comeback of the alternative genre (like the 90's)...I like indie...but the indie scene is getting overkill and saturated...just an influx of indie/indie pop.
I LOVE climax of the song [1:51 - 2:51]... the break leading into softer vocals and then the sudden vocal/instrumental crescendo if you will. Exhilarating...
I hope to some day meet people who enjoy the essence and impact of music as much as I do. I'm honestly a music radical. I think people around me find my obsession with it frivolous and childish but my passion for it surpasses recreational/social fun...I feel it...it's like my faith...I believe it's one of the most powerful tools in the world. Maybe it's a bit of a curse...as it's one of the few things in this world that motivates me...that makes me happy.
